A sweet story spanning over a hundred years
Bulgari Agostino srl was founded in Pavone del Mella in 1880 thanks to the vision and inventiveness of the Bulgari family, whose heirs continue to carry on the long tradition in the confectionery sector.
Originally a pastry shop producing pastries and sugar confections, over the years it evolved into a flexible system capable of meeting global market demands. Today, the company specializes in producing high-quality marshmallows, characterized by surprising fillings and original shapes that satisfy modern consumers’ needs.
Agostino Bulgari, with his pioneering vision, started the business aiming to create sweets that were not only tasty but also original, using high-quality ingredients and artisanal methods.
His genius and passion led him to experiment with different shapes and textures, and in the 1970s, he created the iconic Bulgarino, a snack consisting of a wafer, egg white-based cream, and chocolate coating that has won the hearts of generations of consumers.
The Bulgarino is still present in Bulgari’s product range, keeping the Family tradition alive.
In 1998, the production of molded marshmallows began. Thanks to modern technologies and constant research, this product became the Company’s best-seller. Its uniqueness lies in its three-dimensional shape, consistency, and taste, making it a distinctive and easily recognizable product.
Today this product is available in more than thirty shapes, with different flavors and colors.
In 2006, a new production line for extruded marshmallows was established. Beyond the classic braided, tube, striped, square, and sliced shapes (available in different colors and flavors), the company specializes in producing extruded marshmallows with fruit juice.
In 2020, the new molded marshmallow line was acquired, allowing the Company to double its production capacity to meet growing customer demand.
Today, the company continues to be managed by the Bulgari family, keeping alive the values of craftsmanship and dedication that characterized its early days.
Production takes place over an area of approximately 41,000 m².
Thanks to experience passed down through generations and established professionalism, Bulgari Agostino s.r.l. creates a wide range of confectionery products appreciated both in Italy and abroad.

The use of non-azoic colorants, the “gluten-free” claim on all our marshmallow products, and traceability from raw material input to finished product are guarantees of reliability and high quality.
