The production process at Bulgari Agostino is structured in multiple phases, each involving various specialized departments, ensuring a balance between artisanal quality and modern technologies.
Selection of Raw Materials
The process begins with a rigorous selection of raw materials. Ingredients such as sugar, glucose syrup, and gelatin are carefully chosen to ensure the quality of the final product.
Research and Development (R&D) Department
Innovation is fundamental for Bulgari Agostino.
The R&D department constantly works on developing new products, testing new combinations of ingredients and technologies to create marshmallows that are increasingly original in terms of taste, shape, and texture.
Production and Extrusion
Once the ingredients are defined, the process moves to the production phase, which takes place in a modern facility of about 41,000 m². Here, the raw materials are mixed, cooked, and then shaped through the extrusion or casting process, allowing us to obtain marshmallows in various shapes, such as croissants, bananas, or stars.
Technological precision ensures the soft and homogeneous consistency of each marshmallow.
Filling Department
Many of Bulgari Agostino’s products, such as filled marshmallows, go through the filling department, where the marshmallows are stuffed with delicious fillings, creating unique taste experiences.
Quality Control
All production batches are subject to strict quality controls, following international food industry regulations. The company is certified IFS, BRC, and ISO 9001:2015, and ensures traceability of raw materials up to the finished product. This department is essential to ensure that every product meets safety and quality standards before being packaged.
Packaging and Logistics
After quality control, the marshmallows are packaged in various formats, including customized ones. The logistics department then handles the distribution of products both in Italy and abroad.
